Anti-gel for winter - We only use Power Services (PS) anti-gel. It is only to be used when your truck is sitting stationary for extended periods of time at temps at or below 30F. Double up on the treatment amount if temps are below 15F. When you are moving or in-transit it should only be used when temps are at or below 15-20F, double up on treatment in temps below 0F when driving. Anti-gel is to be put in your fuel tank PRIOR TO FUELING UP. Keep in mind your APU, Espar bunk heater, and TCU (if so equipped) pull fuel from your truck tanks and also need the benefit of anti-gel for proper cold weather operation. Send receipts for reimbursement to receipts.hysg@gmail.com and include truck number and “reimbursement” on the margin of the receipt.
The 64 oz. Power Services anti-gel is much cheaper and readily available at Walmart as opposed to a truck stop. Do not wait until you are in below freezing temps to obtain anti-gel, every other driver will be looking for it as well and it does become scarce.
You can also purchase anti-gel with your EFS fuel card by pressing the "Additional Items" button on the fuel pump prior to fueling. After fueling, go into the store and take the anti-gel to the fuel desk, they will close out your fuel transaction there.
As always, let the Maintenance Department know if you have any questions and please drive safely.
Thank you,
