Safety First: Essential Safety and Security Precautions
At Hyfield Trucking, safety is always our top priority, especially when faced with potentially disruptive events. Here are essential safety and security reminders to help keep you safe and prepared on the road:
Precautions for Areas with Protests
If you’re traveling through an area where protests may be taking place, consider these precautions:
1. In Case of Imminent Danger: Dial 911 immediately for urgent assistance.
2. Contact Customer Location: Before arriving at a customer site, call ahead to confirm the current conditions in and around the location. If conditions are unsafe, avoid entering the area and inform dispatch immediately.
3. Stay in Touch with Dispatch: Provide regular updates on road conditions and any circumstances you deem necessary for your safety.
4. Avoid Leaving Vehicles Unattended: Do not leave your vehicle and trailer unattended for extended periods. Make every effort to park in safe and secure areas or in accordance with customer requirements.
5. Utilize Security Locks: Use padlocks or other security devices to secure trailer access points, and check doors, locks, and seals frequently to ensure they remain secure.
6. Stay Informed via Media Updates: Monitor media platforms for real-time information on potential protests or disruptions along your route.
Additional Security Measures
• Avoid Known Protest Areas: Use caution and steer clear of areas where protests are actively occurring.
• In Case of Suspicious Situations: If you feel you are being followed or find yourself in a potentially dangerous situation, contact dispatch immediately. We will follow established procedures to engage Security and alert law enforcement as needed.
• In Case of Theft or Breach: Should your vehicle be stolen or cargo hold be compromised, contact dispatch right away to begin our response protocol.
By remaining vigilant and proactive, you can help maintain your safety and ensure secure transport. Thank you for your commitment to safety at Hyfield Trucking.
